Massimo Bottura‘s much-loved Modena restaurant, Osteria Francescana moved to the second spot at the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2017 list.

 
Massimo Bottura‘s much-loved Modena restaurant, Osteria Francescana moved to the second spot at the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2017 list. The award ceremony, which was held in Melbourne last night, gave away the first position to New York’s Eleven Madison Park helmed by chef Daniel Humm.

Incidentally, Kolkata-born chef Gaggan Anand‘s eponymous restaurant in Bangkok was elevated to No.7 from 23 last year. Gaggan, which is known for serving progressive Indian cuisine, was ranked the No.1 restaurant in the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2017 list held in February.

According to The New York Times, an 8 to ten course meal at the World’s No.1 Restaurant 2017, costs a whopping $295! Now, who wants to drop by at the Eleven Madison Park when in NYC?
