PATA Adventure Travel and Responsible Tourism Conference and Mart 2019 (ATRTCM) which will be held from 13th – 15th February, at the banks of the River Ganga, in Rishikesh

 
Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) in Association with Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is organizing the PATA Adventure Travel and Responsible Tourism Conference and Mart 2019 (ATRTCM) which will be held from 13th – 15th February, at the banks of the River Ganga, in Rishikesh, the Adventure Capital of the country. This global fair will see a diverse participation from the adventure tour and travel industry, comprising of leading International Buyers and Sellers from 19 countries worldwide. A total figure of 44 buyers, 49 sellers in addition to some popular influencers and delegates are expected from, the US, Thailand, Korea, Germany, China, France, Spain, Canada, Ukraine, Turkey, Ireland, United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Australia, Italy, Russia, Poland, Singapore, Nepal, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Myanmar along with India.
The 3 day event will host a conference where-in the invited delegates, dignitaries and speakers will have a platform to share their views on the Adventure and Responsible Tourism industry, putting ahead the new researches, prospects and innovations etc. The Travel Mart however will focus more on trade where Buyer-Seller meets will facilitate the interaction between the respective groups, to understand redeem the needs.
What is PATA? Pacific Asia Travel Association is a not-for profit association that is internationally acclaimed for acting as a catalyst for the responsible development of travel and tourism to, from and within the Asia Pacific region. The Association provides aligned advocacy, insightful research and innovative events to its member organizations, comprising 95 government, state and city tourism bodies, 25 international airlines and airports, 108 hospitality organizations, 72 educational institutions, and hundreds of travel industry companies in Asia Pacific and beyond. Thousands of travel professionals belong to the 36 local PATA chapters worldwide. The chapters organize travel industry training and business development events. Their grassroots activism underpins PATA’s membership in Uniting Travel, a coalition of the world’s major Travel & Tourism organizations dedicated to ensuring that the sector speaks with one voice and acts in unison on the major issues.
PATA (ATRTCM) is a major global event, in which the travel and adventure tourism pioneers come to a stage which is attended by global institutions and companies. Recently, Bhutan and Thailand organized International events of PATA in Luoyang, China and Al-Ins, Abu Dhabi, Dubai. In fact, the previous edition of the conference and mart held in Langkawi, Malaysia was also visited by Shri Satpal Maharaj Hon’ble Tourism Minister of Uttarakhand.
The Adventure Travel Operator Association of India (ATOAI), which is one of the leading institutions in the field of adventure tourism, have been approved as the 'Knowledge' Partner ", to make this event a success.
The one-day conference is being organized on 14th February, during which experts such as international level speakers will have a thorough extensive discussion about the new movements, innovation and mobility of this fast moving tourism sector. This platform will easily make all the entities involved, aware and understand each other's needs.
On 15th February, the Travel Mart will be organized where international, national, regional and local tourism organizations and representatives of companies will come face-to-face for the purchase and sale of adventure products and to initiate a communication chain.
A few attraction such as a Heritage Walks, Familialization for visitors, river rafting among other thrilling and entertaining activities have been kept on 13th and 16th February, so that the visitants are directly aware of the potential in the tourism sector of the State.
