There simply isn’t a festival line-up this summer we’re more excited to see. For lovers of all things Soul and Jazz, this is absolutely the one.
The line up above really speaks for itself, but some quick highlights. Poppy Ajudha is arguably, the most exciting up and comer in the UK, winning Best Soul Act at the Jazz FM Awards amongst other accolades. She’s one of Barack Obama’s favourite singerstoo. Masego, the multi-instrumentalist talent, known for his self-dubbed ‘Trap House Jazz’ and delectable live jam sessions. He’s been lighting up stages around the world with performances like the magical Nairobi set below. That magic coming to London town is one not to miss.
Then there’s Jordan Rakei whose recent London show was a marvel. Skinhead Soul princess, Etta Bond, with the smoothest R&B vibes. OSHUN and Children of Zeus with Hip Hop Soul vibes of varying but equally delicious flavours. Some of the most promising up and comers in Soul Music – Eliza, Osca Jerome, Poppy Ajudha, Tertia May, Iyamah, Maya Law, Catching Cairo and more. Plus more acts seem to be added every week!
Finally, the Queen of Funk herself, the truly legendary Chaka Khan. Not sure how you beat Chaka as a headliner.
The food will be a lituation

The best food in the capital is very much part of the cultural experience the Cross The Tracks organisers have curated. Showcasing cuisine from around the world, the festival has been well-dubbed a ‘Soul, Jazz and Funk Feast’.

More than just a music festival, Cross The Tracks is rather a multi-hyphenate cultural experience with great music at its core. The one-day extravaganza will include a record fair, an independent creative market, creative workshops, talks and panels. No dull moments in sight.
