Focusing on education leadership, Tawfik Adams enrolled himself at Bowie University to receive doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership. He formerly served as Assistant Principal at Oxon Hill High School where he evaluated the assigned personnel for the purpose of ensuring that standards were achieved and performance was maximized. He represented the school personnel for the purpose of monitoring the performance, providing for professional growth and achieving the overall objectives. He worked for implementing the policies, procedures and processes for the purpose of providing direction and complying with mandated requirements.

As an inspiring educational administrator, Tawfik possesses a keen interest in the success of the school and a desire to equip the students with the best. Holding a solid background in education, leadership and strong communication and interpersonal skills, Tawfik Adams formerly served as Instructional Specialist at High School Consortium. He considered his responsibility to provide administrative leadership in implementing real time decisions to effectively optimize the performance strength of educators. Besides, he took the required initiatives to incorporate best practices and interdisciplinary learning.

Completing Bachelor of Arts in United States History from Western Connecticut State University, Tawfik Adams gained skills to make a successful administrative career. Thereafter, he attended University of Bridgeport to complete Masters Degree in Secondary Education. Regarding the certifications he has achieved, Tawfik possesses Maryland Advanced Professional Certificate in Endorsements that included Admin I and II, and History.

Adding to his achievements, Tawfik Adams received the dissertation of the Year Award for “Determining the Relationship of Principal’s Leadership Styles (Transformational, Transactional, Laissez-Faire) on Teacher Job Satisfaction at Various Career Stages”.

Tawfik Adams has been serving as the social studies teacher at Charles County Board of Education since 2017. Regarding the subject he teaches, Tawfik believes that social studies enable the students to put the current events into context and understand the world around them. Being a social studies teacher, he inspires the students to think critically about their world. He helps them to understand how the government functions and how to research the facts.
