He is currently employed as social studies teacher at Charles County Board of Education since 2017. Regarding the subject he teaches, Tawfik believes that social studies enable the students to put the current events into context and understand the world around them. Being a social studies teacher, he inspires the students to think critically about their world.

Holding a professional certificate in educational leadership, Tawfik Adams formerly served an instructional specialist at High School Consortium. Here, he collaborated with the school principals to regularly analyze the school wide plan, plan interventions and make the curricular adjustments.

Pertaining to his education credentials, Tawfik Adams completed his Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Bowie State University. He received the dissertation of the Year Award for “Determining the Relationship of Principal’s Leadership Styles (Transformational, Transactional, Laissez-Faire) on Teacher Job Satisfaction at Various Career Stages”.

Gaining his expertise in the administrative career at Bladensburg High School, Tawfik Adams served as an Assistant Principal from 2003-2007. Here, he assisted in providing the leadership for the overall instructional program that included selection and hiring of support and instructional staff.
