In order to continue his professional career, Pier-Alexandre Breitenstein chose, in 1977, to leave Switzerland for Quebec, in Canada. This welcoming land offered him years of happiness and he developed a keen sense of culinary creativity. He opened “The Hobbit”, a restaurant in the tourist district of Quebec and happily met Louis Auger, a “pure wool” Quebecer, a specialist in the food industry for many years.
Together, they created “Le Seigneur des Fourneaux” , a ready-to-eat food wholesaler, and thanks to the efforts made, this company quickly positioned itself as a leader in the field.
In 2018, Pier-Alexandre invited Louis to introduce him to his country of origin. The latter falls under the spell of Switzerland, its inhabitants, its culture, its mountains and above all its culinary know-how! So much so that, back in Quebec, the duo developed a new business project, but this time in Switzerland.
A few months are enough for our two entrepreneurs to officially launch their new concept ”En Mod'Erable”, with the mission of making their Swiss friends discover all the wealth of artisanal creations featuring Quebec maple syrup.
These original and unexpected recipes will blow you away with their subtle, rich and refined tastes. You will be seduced by these specialties, mostly concocted with Swiss products. The perfect marriage between Canada and Switzerland!
We look forward to meeting you and we look forward to sharing our adventure with you!
