Ticor Title was recently named the lead sponsor of the Short Sale Con, an exclusive short sale convention for real estate being held at the Golden Nugget Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 7-9, 2013. This is the first event of its kind ever held in the United States and the developers of the event want to help real estate professionals learn how to get new listing from the ground up. They hope that at the end of the three-day event, real estate professionals will realize that waiting for shadow inventory to be released is a waste of their time because it will never happen. Instead they should focus on getting listings in the current market, learn how to deal with banks and how to build their business and success in today’s real estate market.

Planners have created a three day even filled with informative meetings that will help ever real estate professional in attendance. On Thursday, March 7 attendees will register and meet other attendees before heading to their first seminar dedicated to Certified Default Advocacy Training (CDAT) and Certification. This .meeting gets the convention off to a fast start by providing a compete examination of why there are short sales, how to explain them and how to answer any question posed about them. On Saturday, March 8 there is a full day of meetings starting with an event designed to help participants get started with new listings immediately on the first day of work after the convention. Saturday ends with seminars on homeowner conversion, scripting & advocacy and asset protection. On Sunday, March 9 the day begins with a superstar panel of hand selected short sale players answering any and all questions participants have. The panel moderator is Lee Honish the former head loss mitigator of IndyMac bank. Sunday ends with in-depth discussions of appraisal and valuation with well known appraiser Justin Durian and the issues surrounding taxes and government regulation with CPA and attorney Paul Horn.

As mentioned, speakers will include Lee Honish who will moderate the Sunday panel and act as key note speaker. Honish is an advocate, author and real estate consultant and has over 22 years of experience in asset management. His experience will add an invaluable element to the convention and give participants a unique perspective as they navigate the current real estate market. Honish will be joined by Steve Guzman, an active California Realtor, advocate and CDAT instructor, Justin Durian, an approved lender appraiser and Freddie/Fannie review appraiser and expert witness and Paul Horn, attorney and CPA.
