Miami, FL – Stress Relievers, a group of family-owned companies working together to create networking opportunities that benefit worthy charities, is set to host their November Happy Hour at Maguires Hill 16 (535 N. Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL). The event benefits God’s Little Acres, a non-profit group that provides recreational opportunities for terminally ill and developmentally delayed children and their families. Stress Relievers will host the happy hour on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 5:30-6:30 P.M.

Escape to the Stress Relievers Happy Hour and Provide Children with Serious Illness an Escape from their Worries

God’s Little Acres works to improve the quality of life for children with serious, often terminal, illness and developmental delays. They strive to provide recreational activities for these children and their families so that they may have the opportunity to make memories, bond, grow, and relax together. God’s Little Acres operates on a five acre ranch in Coconut Creek, FL. It provides these children and their family members an escape from the typical hospital setting. Children come from Holy Cross, Joe DiMaggio, and Miami Children’s Hospitals, as well as the Broward Children’s Diagnostic Center. They suffer from such conditions as cancer, AIDS, MS, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, leukemia, and cystic fibrosis. God’s Little Acres brings families in free of charge for a whole day, where they have horses, a petting zoo, and hay rack rides. Children enjoy rides, games, clown shows, lunch, ice cream, hours of entertainment, and heartfelt gifts to take home with them.

Stress Relievers Will Donate Thanksgiving Food Baskets to These Extraordinary Families

Holidays can be a stressful time, especially if a loved one is sick in the hospital. Stress Relievers will provide Thanksgiving Food Baskets for all the families God’s Little Acres serves in order to make it easier for them to come together on this holiday. At the November Happy Hour, Stress Relievers will collect supplies and then put together 80 Thanksgiving baskets to be distributed to the families of God’s Little Acres.

Stress Relievers needs help collecting the following items:

- Canned whole kernel corn
- Canned green beans
- Canned yams/sweet potatoes
- Corn bread or biscuit mix
- Box of turkey stuffing mix
- Instant mashed potatoes
- Turkey or chicken broth
- Cranberry sauce
- Canned pumpkin
- Jars of ready-made turkey gravy
- Disposable turkey roasting pans

Attend the November Happy Hour and bring any of these supplies. For each item you donate, Stress Relievers will give you an additional free drink ticket. A maximum of three drink tickets per person will be given, although everyone is encouraged to bring as many items as they are able to donate.
