Awake In Life, the Interfaith Minneapolis based organization specialising in meditation training, is holding an introductory meditation class on the Spiritual Science of Meditation on Saturday 6 October. The class will be held at the Om Collective, 3350 Lyndale Avenue, S Minneapolis and runs from 2.30 to 4.30pm. The class is aimed at anyone considering starting meditation practice or wanting to deepen their practice. Attendees are likely to be yoga practioners or individuals interested in incorporating meditation into their lifestyle. The training will take its direction from the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi.
Rev Alan, founder of Awake In Life, will personally lead the session. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the field of personal development and spiritual practice. Awake In Life’s approach is strictly within a theistic framework, but welcomes all faiths or those of no affiliation.
Rev Alan says his passion is meditation and Awake In Life offers timeless techniques to help individuals address spiritual growth, and gain enhanced insight. Speaking at the official launch of the class he said, “Our approach is spiritual rather than religious. This means we put the individual at the heart of all our teachings. Clients typically have no affiliation or wishing to include a spiritual element within their practice. If you like, we offer our teachings in a bridge like manner. ”
Awake In Life works with individuals as well as organizations and corporates offering a range of services. For individuals the focus is on meditation training in Minneapolis and spiritual life coaching or counselling. Personal issues can be discussed in a secular or spiritual way, as preferred. Rev Alan welcomes enquiries from organizations wishing to learn more about mediation or create a mediation program or build meditation or chanting into employee programs. Likewise he helps companies interested in applying spiritual themes into their culture or who have executives who appreciate the benefits of coaching or exploring themes from a spiritual perspective.
Awake In Life also welcomes inquiries from those wanting a spiritual minister to officiate at life ceremonies.
