Highly specialized in anesthesiology and pain management, Subrata Chakravarty worked for acute care in surgical programs and labor analgesia for a long time. He considers that unlike any injury that causes physical pain in the body, chronic pain is more geared towards chemical changes in the brain that the traditional scan wouldn’t pick up.

Formerly, Subrata served as Staff Anesthesiologist with AHS. He considers patient safety as one of the top priorities of every hospital or organization. He believes that the onus of patient safety is on everyone, not just the healthcare professional alone.

Being specialized in anesthesiology, he always wanted to do active clinical work where skills and knowledge would go hand in hand. With anesthesia, he believed that he would get those challenging cases to take care of.

Being highly passionate about the field of anesthesia, he believed that it would give him a platform where he would be able to take care of challenging cases and scenarios that require both skills and expertise.

Subrata Chakravarty successfully attained his one year of fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesia from University of Toronto. In 2008, Subrata attended Mount Sinai Hospital to achieve his fellowship of two years in Clinical Anesthesia. Adding more to his achievements, he got the “Research in Education Award” at the prestigious SOAP (Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology) Annual meeting.

Always being into teaching and safe airway management, Subrata Chakravarty completed his three year fellowship from Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. Thus, he followed his passion for labor analgesia and anesthetic management of high risk obstetrics cases.

About Subrata Chakravarty

Following his passion to become a physician, Subrata Chakravarty got selected for MBBS course at prestigious Gauhati Medical College. He then went to Delhi University for post-graduation and specialization in Anesthesiology. Thereafter, he was selected as Registrar in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.
