We Put Our Government There and We Keep It Running

What is a Constitution? Well, when you constitute something, you put it there and cause it to stand. You put pieces together into a functional whole. A Constitution, in this case, is a document that puts the framework there.

A Constitution, in this case, is a document that puts the framework of a nation of individual states in place in such a way that they can function as a whole. The United States Constitution was adopted in 1787 and implemented in 1789.

It is still the DNA of the government of the United States of America.

It lays out the blueprint we follow today as we continue to keep the United States growing, for if it is stagnant it will die. This document lays out a government that balances power among three distinct branches. They each have a necessary function in keeping our Country intact. These branches of our Federal Government are the Legislative branch, the Executive branch and the Judicial branch. Each has a sphere of action, influence and responsibility as denoted by their names, Of course the US Government is run by people, and that is where things get interesting.
The people all have varying points of view, and all want the country to move forward toward that vision. to gather influence and power, the individuals create groups with others who are aligned or like minded. These groups then start vying for more power or influence over the groups with other points of view. Sometimes it is a little like having six hockey teams on the ice.

But all in all the United States Government has been pretty useful to we, its people. There are freedoms and opportunities here, and so far each side has been in power often enough that the
balance stays intact. "The way to happiness is hard to travel when shadowed with the oppression of tyranny. A benign government designed and run for all the people, has been known to smooth the way:when such occurs, it deserves
