Tornadoes Strike, Disaster Results and Volunteer Ministers Rush In

Those who run toward disaster, ready to help, are special people.

work in the disaster response community as part of Churches of Scientology Disaster Response and the Volunteer Ministers. Just one week ago,
our Regional Disaster Response In Charge was on stage making a speech and receiving an award, and today she is heading back into destruction and chaos.
This time to help in Tennessee, an area that has just been slammed by tornadoes. She will lead the team in the bright yellow shirts that say Volunteer Ministers.

The disaster response community is composed of people whose primary motivation is to help.

These are people drop everything and rush into chaos to start setting things back in order. Certainly one of the most beautiful demonstrations of the unity of mankind is the cooperation in a disaster zone. The prevailing attitude is always stated as,"What do you need?"and, "How can we help?". These are truly people of goodwill. We need them, in these obvious cases, but we need them also in quieter times of daily stress.

"As they guard the street, counsel the children, take the temperatures, put out the fires and speak good sense in quiet voices, one is apt to overlook the fact that people of goodwill are the ones that keep the world going and man alive upon this earth.", L. Ron Hubbard.
