There are 4 Cs that Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters follow as their guiding principals: Cooperation, Communication, Coordination and Collaboration. This is how VOAD rolls, from National on down, gathering in its wake smaller related entities. And that is how we arrive in Hillsborough County with their newly forming COAD, which means Community Organizations Active in Disasters.

And now we have Dorian, a tropical storm that is dramatizing Shakespeare's Hamlet: "To be, or not to be?"; it starts to form an eye wall, it morphs it into three which dissipate into weakness, and the starts form one eye again.

But whatever the weather decides, the individuals of the disaster response community will be there for the citizens of our country, our state, and our community. Churches of Scientology Disaster Response is a member of the disaster community from National VOAD right on through to the COAD of Hillsborough County, which is newly formed. The current Secretary of the Florida VOAD is a Scientologist, as is an at large Board member of the new COAD.

The Tampa Bay area will be able to survive better, thanks to the work of these groups. We appreciate you.
