If you visit China now days, you can feel an overwhelming Christmas atmosphere everywhere. Santa toys are hanging in the supermarkets and shops. Meanwhile, Christmas trees are sparkling inside them. A full happy atmosphere for Christmas!
In many cities during Christmas Eve, large crowd of people marched on the street which has been specially controlled by local government. They walk happily hand in hand or hold beautiful flowers, chocolate they received.
Many kinds of activities are prepared for those who expect to experience the happiness of Christmas and make that night in their heart forever. They can walk into any store to buy their clothes, shoes or any other things they want, because all the shop keepers have already been ready to make full use of this evening to provide all that you may need.
The snack stores are other good choices. Specially, there are a number of streets that offer both local food and tasty snacks of other places
Activities with obvious Christmas atmosphere are also demonstrated. Like festivals in those predominantly Christian countries whose common practice are Carols, Ever Green, gift and so on.
Sometime these events might hold in larger scales: one thousand people carol, the biggest man-made Christmas tree. In China, Christmas is far from its religious implication. Similar situation can also be found in other cities.
Reason
Christmas is now celebrated in many countries for religion is an important part of their social, political and daily life, such as America, the Great Britain, Japan, Germany and so on. Christmas is more and more popular in China as well.
First, it is because the growing popularity of English learning members in China. There are thousands of languages in the world. English is one of the world’s most widely used languages. English is often necessary for business, education, information and other activities in a great many countries It is also one of the working languages in the United Nations and is more used than the others.
On the other hand, more and more students in China go abroad for further study and meanwhile, we can many students from abroad come in China. The culture is spread more and more quickly and we have a better understanding of each other. We will celebrate the festival s together.
Conclusion
Christmas is now more and more popular in China and accepted by more and more people. We will have a get-together and party to celebrate it. It is a good to melt the culture of different countries together. We can have a get-together or celebration on that day. In our traditional festival: spring festival. People in other countries will have some celebrations. This year, what will you do on Christmas?
