He served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board for Furniture Brands International for over six years. During that time Ralph Scozzafava successfully restructured the company, culminating in a go-private transaction with KPS Capital in late 2013. The restructuring involved creating a corporate strategy and turnaround plan that sustained Furniture Brands through a global financial crisis with over $170MM improvement in Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) on an annual basis over a five year period.

Ralph Scozzafava graduated from the University of the Pacific in 1982. He received a Bachelors of Science in Marketing there. Ralph Scozzafava continued his education at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Rhode Island. He graduated in 1986 with a Masters of Business Administration in Finance.

After a few years of working as a professional, Ralph Scozzafava returned to school when he began to attend Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. He joined the Executive Program there, and he graduated in 1997. In 2004 Ralph Scozzafava returned to school once again, attending Northwestern University’s Kellogg Management Institute One-Year Graduate Program.

Ralph Scozzafava is the former Director and Chairman of the Board of Keep America Beautiful. He currently serves as the director of the Saint Louis YMCA. Ralph Scozzafava is incredibly proud of where all of his hard work has led him. He has worked hard to get to the point he is at today, and he does not intend on slowing down anytime soon.
