Paul Avery DDS participates in continuing education to keep up to date

Paul Avery DDS practices general dentistry in Colorado, and keeps up to date with advances in his profession through continuing education. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1997, and had two more years of postgraduate orthodontic training from Progressive Orthodontic Seminars.

Progressive Orthodontic Seminars, he says, first became available to general dentists in 1984.

It was developed over many years and thousands of documented cases, with the goal of providing general dentists with an education in orthodontics that would be comprehensive enough so that they could match the standard of care practiced by orthodontists.

Progressive Orthodontic Seminars was a rapid success with many satisfied referrals, and these are its largest source of new students to this day.

Orthodontics, explains Paul Avery DDS, is a specialized branch of dentistry that treats irregularities in the alignment of the teeth and jaws. It also addresses improper bites. Braces help improve the function of the teeth and jaws, and as a bonus leave patients with a better smile than they had before. Paul Avery DDS says that he provides smile design and family dentistry to people of all ages.

"We provide same day, single visit crowns and cosmetic makeovers, orthodontics for both children and adults, root canals, dentures, implant placement and restoration," he says.

His patients have provided him with five star reviews, and love the results of his work. "Great Dentist!" said one. "Caring, knowledgeable and funny." These and similar ratings have contributed to Paul Avery DDS being recognized with an "America's Top Dentists" award in 2010. A list of America's top dentists is compiled every year by the Consumer Research Council of America, a research organization based in Washington, DC. It rates dentists based on a number of factors, including how many years the dentist has been in practice, their education and continuing education, and they provide dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association.

Paul Avery DDS provides his patients with a variety of dental services, ranging from orthodontics, endodontics, cosmetics, porcelain veneers, fixed and removable prosthodontics, implant restorations, small diameter implant placement and restoration, and all general dentistry restorative services.
