Zachary Zaitzeff is known to many in New York as the scrappy entrepreneur who has made a name for himself as the owner of a family owned and operator burger restaurant in the heart of New York City. However, very people realize that New York’s own Zachary Zaitzeff is also one of the most successful amateur mountain climbers that the world has ever seen or known.

Zachary Zaitzeff explained to members of the press why he first fell in love with the sport of mountain climbing:

“Growing up and continuing to live in a major city, I had spent my entire life surrounded by the urban jungle. Even though I would certainly not change my life for anything, I did come to the realization that I had not had as many opportunities as I wanted to really get out there and experience nature. So, I began searching for hobbies that would allow me to connect with that part of my psyche.”

Zachary Zaitzeff says that he began his mountain climbing adventures by taking courses at various climbing gyms. When he felt confident enough to get out into the field, Zachary Zaitzeff began by scaling smaller, more local mountains. Eventually, Zachary Zaitzeff felt confident enough to climb some of the most formidable mountains in the world, including Mount Everest and Mount McKinley.

Although many amateur mountain climbers might stop after scaling those two mountains, Zachary Zaitzeff says that he is nowhere near done with his mountaineering adventures. Zachary Zaitzeff says that in the very near future, he hopes to travel across the world to scale even more exciting mountains.

“I am really hoping to check out some of the great climbing in Asia, as well as some of the more adventurous treks that are available when you climb the mountains in Africa.”

So far, Zachary Zaitzeff has not said when he plans to accomplish these future treks to exotic foreign locations. Still, Zachary Zaitzeff hopes that he will be able to accomplish at least a few of these planned trips in the next five or so years and hopes that he will be able to include his friends and family in these escapades.
