Steven J Dick MD is looking to get into business consulting.

Steven J Dick MD, after over thirty years as a successful doctor, has decided to put down the stethoscope and focus more on the clipboard. Throughout his multiple decades working as a neurological doctor, professor and medical administrator he has come to the conclusion that his talents are now to be most useful in the realm of business.

At the peak of his career practicing neurological medicine, Steven J. Dick MD worked as the Neurologist in Chief at the Lurleen B. Wallace Developmental Center in Decatur, Alabama. His duties included managing all neurological disorders; most specifically, seizure disorders of multiple types and hospital admissions for over 300 severely brain-injured patients. He was supervised by the then-Medical Director, John Wagner MD.

Additionally, Steven J. Dick was the anchor on a local Huntsville TV show called “Medline” that was aired in Southern Tennessee to Northern Alabama from 1998 to 2004. He made appearances on the show every Saturday night for 30 minutes and interviewed the most well-known medical specialists in the area as well as many of the professors from the medical school in Birmingham, AL. His work entertained and informed audiences of current issues in the medical field.

Then as a former neurological consultant, Steven J Dick MD had plenty of experience working to create guidelines for fellow practitioners for when they are treating patients. While working at Alabama Medicine and Rheumatology, LLC and Millar Multimedical, he offered assistance for designing standardized guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of neurological illnesses. Dr. Dick is extremely skilled when it comes to training subordinates in the workplace. He then performed similar services at John H. Wagner III MD Long Term Physician Services.

To Stephen J. Dick MD, his decision to move towards business consulting is a well thought-out career move. “I'm very confident that I can solve problems. I have never panicked or despaired. I have an organized approach to circumstances but I am willing to be unconventional and take advice. Obviously I'm trained to manage neurological disease but I have also acquired an ability to assess people’s strengths and weakness, create organizations that can not only accomplish a set of goals but assess the quality of its members in terms of their competence, satisfaction and what can be done to improve.”
