Robby Toledano has offered a lifetime of service to the United States Marine Corps.

Offering a lifetime to the military is a demanding ambition. A military career requires a soldier to offer up his body and his life in service to his country. This can be a daunting prospect for anyone. Robby Toledano took up this ambition and is a great example of a true military veteran.

Toledano left the University of Illinois at Chicago during his junior year to join the United States Marine Corps. He was only 24, but already knew that he wanted to dedicate his life to his country. He served as an active duty soldier for four years and then transferred into the reserves. While he was a reserve marine he finished his education, and in 2002, he received his Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

He remained a reserve marine until he was activated for deployment. He was sent to the Babil province of Iraq as part of a support troop for the Iraqi Freedom Campaign. He spent 11 months serving in the Middle East. When he returned in 2005, he chose to continue his active duty rather than leave the military. He attended the USMC’s recruiter school and became a recruiter for the United States Marine Corps. He was successful in this position, averaging a recruitment of 2 qualified applicants per month for a 2-year period.

He took a one year break from recruiting to work as an outbound manager for the USMC, but in 2008, he returned to recruiting. He took the officer recruiting course and began to work as a Corporate Recruiter. In this position, he was involved in finding, recruiting, and interviewing candidates for federal commission as a Marine Corps Officer. Toledano received a personal award for exemplary performance in this position. He then advanced his career by becoming a Senior Recruiting Liaison.

Robby Toledano has served his country in many capacities. First, he worked as an active soldier and fought overseas. Then, after his returned, instead of retiring and pursuing a career outside of the military, he chose to search for men and women who would also become assets to the United States Marine Corps.
