Patricia Cavalier Implements Wellness Program Benefiting the Employees of Ingalls Health System

Patricia Cavalier, the Human Resources Director of Ingalls Health System, Implemented a wellness program that saw Ingalls Health System finish as a finalist for the healthiest employees in Chicago.

 
Patricia Cavalier is a successful professional in the Human Resources Industry. She has been working in human resources for over twenty years and has spent over fifteen of those years in leadership positions. She is currently the Human Resources Director of Ingalls Health System and previously was the Human Resources Director of the DuPage Municipality in Illinois.
Patricia Cavalier has worked for Ingalls Health System since 2010 and has had a significant impact on the company’s employees. Her most important contribution to date came when she successfully launched the company’s comprehensive Wellness Program. The Wellness Program offered financial incentives and increased the preventive health services provided to the company’s employees. She also redesigned the compensation structure of the company that resembled what the majority of healthcare market aligns with.
The changes that Patricia Cavalier made and the addition of the Wellness Program resulted in Ingalls Health System's employees seeing their health increase. In fact, Ingalls Healthy System finished as a finalist for the healthiest employees in the city of Chicago, thanks to the changes and improvements made by Patricia Cavalier.

This was not the first time that Patricia Cavalier made significant changes to the health benefits of employees. During her tenure from 2001 to 2010 as the Human Resources Director for the DuPage Municipality, Patricia Cavalier completely redesigned the insurance plan for employees, financially saving the municipality. The Health Insurance Plan, as she dubbed it, resulted in the municipality saving $1 million annually, and received the approval of labor unions.
Patricia Cavalier's first experience in negotiating health insurance came during her time as a Human Resources Manager for the DuPage County Government and Convalescent Center in Wheaton, Illinois. She managed employee and labor relations and designed health insurance plans while working on employee compensation projects during this time.

Patricia Cavalier has a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from National-Louis University in Evanston, Illinois. She also has a Master’s Certificate in Human Resources from the National Public Employers Labor Relations Association. Her first job in HR came in 1994 as a Compensation Specialist for The Art Institute of Chicago.
