Triathlons are endurance competitions that pit hundreds of people together into a race split into three different forms. There are multiple levels of triathlons from the shortest sprint triathlon to the ultra-distance triathlons that only the top tier of athletes can compete in.
Regardless, the first part of a triathlon is composed of a swimming course often through open water. This is followed by a long-distance cycling stage. After the cycling is complete, athletes must compete in a run. For ultra-distance triathlons, the run at the end is a full marathon (26.2 miles) in itself.
Asked about his future career in triathlons, Nathan Patrick Pramik stated, "I feel confident that I have my best years ahead of me in terms of my triathlon success. I hope to stay healthy and to be able to compete in a few more ultra-distance races. It is certainly a humbling sport with a lot of very driven and focused people competing.”
