Joseph J Armato learned valuable negotiating skills while working in this industry, which he believes has significantly helped his company flourish.

Nationwide Contracting and Consulting, Inc. works to resolve disputes with insurance companies and restore insurance claims for multi-residential properties. Joseph J Armato believes that he owes a lot of the company’s success to the negotiating skills that he learned from his previous career. Joseph J Armato offers advice to people entering into any kind of negotiation, “I think the most important part of entering into any type of negotiation is to prepare. It is important that individuals know what their worth is before entering into conversation. So many times people settle for a deal because they don’t understand how valuable of an asset they are. It is crucial to let the other party know your worth and how you can actively benefit them. Basically, it is your job to convince them why they need you,” Joseph J Armato revealed.

Joseph J Armato is convinced that negotiating is a skill that you can always prevail at. “I think the primary reason why people make deals that are not in their best interest is due to patience. I think our society lacks the necessary patience to succeed in negotiating; however, once you become mindful of it—you will succeed! It is important to not make a deal simply because you are tired of the negotiating process, or you think the other person will not budge. If the other party is not meeting your break-even point, just walk away,” Joseph J Armato stated.
