As of 2013, Jayne Lessard has spent a full thirty year career dedicated to helping others. Out of the many professions designed to serve others in a physical and mental capacity, Jayne Lessard chose to serve and help as a counselor. Over thirty years ago Jayne Lessard graduated from Wheaton Graduate School with MA in Clinical Psychology. Jayne Lessard moved into the counseling field with the goal of helping and guiding others to find emotional and physical health.

“My career began with High Point Family Service. I was hired in 1981 and stayed eight years. I left High Point Family Service in 1989 to begin my future in private practice,” says Jayne Lessard. While working at High Point Family Service, Jayne Lessard’s skills in leadership and business management were quickly realized.

Despite the small size of the business, Jayne Lessard rose to the position of executive director. In her position, Jayne Lessard grew High Point Family Service from a staff of three to a growing and expanding company. “My time at Family Serve was a wonderful experience that taught me so much about the field and made me a more complete therapist. When I started there we had 3 employees, today, the organization employs over 50 professionals,” says Jayne Lessard.

When Jayne Lessard left High Point Family Service in 1989, she dreamed of a long, full, and successful career in private practice. “I knew my job duties as a professional counselor but I also wanted to focus on marriage and family counseling,” recalls Jayne Lessard. For years, Jayne Lessard held seminars in her community on marriage and family and it soon became the specialty her practice was known for.

For over 24 years, Jayne Lessard has worked in private practice and, while her focus continues to be marriage and family counseling, she also helps patients cope with a number of life’s issues. “My skills are not limited to navigating the challenges of marriage. I help people deal with depression, anxiety, and stress as well,” says Jayne Lessard.

Jayne Lessard has also played a large part in helping her local community. For years she has been very active in community and ministry work. Jayne Lessard also takes an active role in helping local students. Jayne Lessard helps guide students to the career path or field of study that plays to their personal strengths and interests.
