Jason McDougall announced that his company, Fields, is looking for qualified candidates to work at a new location in Osoyoos, British Columbia. From the company’s head offices in Delta, British Columbia, McDougall has expanded the company, adding locations throughout the western Canadian countryside in an attempt to improve the lives of people in rural communities throughout the area. McDougall has long wanted to make money and share it with his community. At age 21, in an interview with a local Vancouver newspaper, he said that he wanted to be wealthy before the age of forty and then work on giving that money away and participating in charity and community projects. Today, McDougall is doing just that through his business and his charitable causes.

Jason McDougall wanted Fields Stores to be the leader in the rural department store industry in western Canada. From a small town in Saskatchewan himself, McDougall knows the struggles that small town communities often face. In many places throughout the country, unemployment remains high in these small communities and access to the same services and resources that city dwellers have remains limited. McDougall thought that he could help improve the situation of small communities on both ends—by providing jobs at new stores opening throughout western Canada, and by providing excellent products for those in small towns to use without having to travel into the city.

Jason McDougall has always been mindful of his community. He has supported various charitable organizations in Vancouver and elsewhere that help underprivileged women and children. He makes regular donations to the Salvation Army whenever he can, and works to open stores in areas that he knows need the jobs and the infrastructure, hence the opening of a new Fields Store in Osoyoos.

Jason McDougall has pushed Fields to be the leader in rural communities for low prices and quality goods. McDougall hopes that the community of Osoyoos will benefit greatly from the new store there, and he wants to offer new job opportunities to anyone who can provide friendly, genuine, knowledgeable customer service and lead the store to success.
