John G Harp led Harp Line Constructors for nine years, working tirelessly to expand the business.

Regardless of the industry, nothing advances a company in the industry quite like motivated employees. Harp Line Constructors of Kalispell, Montana is no exception. As the Vice President of Operations, it was John G Harp's responsibility to manage the work force and ensure that they were motivated and producing great work. John G Harp held the position of Vice President of Operations for nine years at Harp Line Constructors. During his tenure there, John G Harp instituted multiple campaigns to improve company morale and make the workforce a better motivated group. “I firmly believe that a company is only as good as its employees.” Explained John G Harp, “and I knew that if I could make my employees happy, they would work harder and our profits would increase.”

In addition to the motivational measures he instituted, John G Harp worked hard to increase the scope of business for Harp Line Constructors. During his time as Vice President of Operations, John G Harp led the efforts to expand Harp Line Constructors, eventually gaining enough support to open a satellite office in Billings, Montana. The new office quickly proved to be a worthwhile investment, and Harp Line Constructors benefitted greatly from the new business opportunity.

When asked about the expansion process, John G Harp was fairly straightforward: “I knew that we could only grow so much while limiting ourselves to one market. We were faced with a choice between expanding into new business areas, or finding new services to offer to our current customers.” John G Harp's decision to expand into new areas meant that the organization could expand without having to train the entire staff on new practices and offerings. This decision allowed Harp Line Constructors to quickly begin collecting profits from the Billings location.

Under John G Harp's careful guidance, Harp Line Constructors supplied electrical lines to many clients throughout Kalispell, along with gas and fiber optic conduits. John G Harp ensured that both clients and employees remained content during his time as Vice President of Operations, and the company's profits increased a full 40 percent over the course of five years.
