Harish Hosalkar is proud to announce the opening of the Center for Hip Preservation and Children’s Orthopaedics. Based on his affiliation with the Scripps Health system in San Diego, Sharp Health care (Sharp Grossmont Hospital), Paradise Valley Hospital and Tri-City Medical Center in California, the center is an extension of Harish Hosalkar’s work in orthopedic surgery, Joint preservation and reconstruction, trauma care, deformity correction and limb-lengthening. Harish Hosalkar currently serves as the Medical Director for the center, in addition to his work as one of the center’s orthopedic surgeons.

The Center for Hip Preservation and Children’s Orthopaedics focuses on the treatment of variety of orthopedic problems. Some of the common Hip issues that the center treats include slipped capital femoral epiphysis, hip dysplasia, Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, femoroacetabular impingement, and avascular necrosis of the hip. Harish Hosalkar has extensive experience with treating these types of issues, which contributes to the center’s focus on these problems. For Harish Hosalkar, incorporating this work with the center’s goals was very important, as these are medical issues that he feels strongly about. He explains, “I wanted to align the Center for Hip Preservation and Children’s Orthopaedics with my professional work, as this area is my passion.”

Since April 2013, the Center for Hip Preservation and Children’s Orthopaedics has been a prominent feature of the San Diego medical community. Harish Hosalkar is overjoyed at the success his center has seen since its founding, and explains, “I wasn’t expecting such immediate positive attention, so I’m ecstatic with our progress thus far.” Of course, Dr Hosalkar’s affiliation with the Scripps Health system, Sharp Health system, Tri-city medical Center and Paradise valley hospital system ensured its success, as these hospital systems are well-established medical providers within the region of southern California.

Harish Hosalkar is committed to his work in the San Diego area, and has worked in the community since 2009. Prior to moving to San Diego, Harish Hosalkar studied and worked in Pennsylvania, England, Switzerland, and India. As an individual who has moved many times during his career, Harish Hosalkar has a wealth of knowledge about medical practices across the globe. However, he feels that he has finally found his place in San Diego, and is looking forward to future success with the Center for Hip Preservation and Children’s Orthopaedics
