Dr. David Simon is an experienced osteopath known for his excellent bedside manner

Dr. David Simon is proud of the fact that most of the patients he has seen in twenty-five years of practice have come to view him as a great physician. Past patients remember a doctor with a warm and courteous personality.

Dr. David Simon is a Florida Osteopath. He is Board-Certified in General Practice by the American Academy of Osteopathic and the American Association of Medical Review Officers, and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, and the Florida Osteopathic Association.

Dr. David Simon is a great believer in having a positive bedside manner. Brief encounters between doctors and their patients don’t do much for either party. Dr. David Simon is proud of the fact that he is known as a doctor with an excellent bedside manner who makes a point of listening to what his patients have to say.

This is in part due to personal characteristics, but it is also due to his training as a Doctor of Osteopathy. A bedside manner is usually defined as the way a medical professional interacts and communicates with his or her patients. According to the American Osteopathic Association, doctors of osteopathic medicine view the body as an integrated whole, rather than treating for specific symptoms. And so it’s important for Dr. David Simon to make that personal connection with the patients he is treating.

Too often, Dr. David Simon knows from personal experience, medical professionals appear aloof to their patients, which can heighten the patient’s anxiety. It doesn’t necessarily mean it, but aloofness can also project a disregard for the patient’s feelings.

Some experts say that doctors won’t be motivated to change simply by telling them about patient dissatisfaction. Rather, they say doctors are scientists who are motivated by data. And that may be enough to start some kind of change. “Doctors are very smart individuals,” one health care expert observed. “All you have to do is show the data.”

The federal government is collecting more and more information about patient satisfaction and patient outcomes, including factors that influence how patients interact with their caregivers and how they fare after leaving the hospital. The information is going to be published, so that patients will be able to compare hospitals.
