Dr. Claudio Cerullo got his organization, Teach Anti Bullying, Inc. involved after a woman pleaded with the Norristown Area School District to transfer her son after being physically assaulted at school.

Claudio Cerullo intervened on behalf of a Norristown woman who pleaded with the Norristown School District to transfer her son from AD Eisenhower Middle School after he was severely beaten by bullies. Cerullo runs the nonprofit organization Teach Anti-Bullying, which works with local schools, parents, students, law enforcement agencies, and others to develop policies that deter bullying and help victims of bullying in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. His organization has been working with the Norristown School District to get the boy transferred to another school.
Claudio Cerullo has long been an advocate of anti-bullying and has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of the growing problem in American schools throughout his career. When he heard that the Norristown boy had been beaten severely by bullies repeatedly and had gone to the Emergency Room for his injuries, he felt he had to intervene. His organization helps victims of bullying get the solutions they need to make the abuse stop and to create systemic solutions for school administrations to help curb their bullying problems. The boy, who Cerullo and all parties involved wanted to remain anonymous, told his mother that he had gone to teachers at Eisenhower Middle School after each attack on campus. The school, he said, refused to transfer him after repeated requests made by his mother.
While Claudio Cerullo gives the school district credit for attempting to help the boy with counseling at school and working to stop the attackers, he wanted to advocate for the boy and his mother because he felt that they could be better served at a new school. Cerullo has been taking cases like this for years as the founder of Teach Anti Bullying
Inc. and he routinely makes an effort to help people who have been bullied and not responded to adequately by school administrations and school districts.
Claudio Cerullo has written nine books on the subject of bullying and has spoken at events throughout the country to help school administrators stop the epidemic that appears to be sweeping through the country’s schools. With his help, as well as concerted efforts by other stakeholders, eliminating bullying has become a priority for schools around the country.
