The Chief Research Coordinator for a leading biotech firm, Doug McClain, has once again found a way to show his compassion for those in need. Before devoting his life to medical research and his recent breakthroughs in treatment for incurable diseases, McClain spent over fifteen years travelling around the world with the Living Word Ministries. He spent this time sharing his faith and helping the underprivileged.

Now, Doug McClain has taken his desire to help others a step further and on a deeply personal level. McClain has recently attained permanent custody of three siblings who were reportedly involved in an undesirable home environment. Saving these children from a dangerous lifestyle weighed heavily on McClain's heart and he saw the need to keep these children together rather than allowing them to be adopted by different families. Now that he has been awarded permanent custody of these children, he sees them as an integral part of his life and he could not imagine living without them.

McClain now enjoys working with others who are considering adoption and promotes adoption to those he believes might be a good fit for a child in need. He believes that many people who may have never thought of adoption as a viable option can be blessed by taking a child into a loving home as well as bless the child for his or her lifetime.

As the Chief Research Coordinator for his firm, McClain has the busy schedule one would expect of someone in the medical field. However, he has made a point to be involved in the lives of his children and works on a daily basis to create the smoothest transition for them into his home. As a Christian, McClain shares his faith and values with all of those who are willing to listen and appreciate the opportunity to care for the siblings who he believes God placed in his life.

Encouraging others to research adoption agencies and look into the opportunity to adopt a child is important to Doug McClain. Although he wishes for all children to find a loving home, he believes taking on the responsibility to care for a child in need to be one of the most important decisions one can make and should be handled with great discernment and care.
