Deborah Burzotta is an involved community member who recently announced a commitment to volunteering with the Atlanta Humane Society.

Deborah Burzotta is proud to announce that she plans to continue volunteering with the Atlanta Humane Society and contribute to their organization as much as she can. As a full time professional working with Kaiser Permanente as pharmacy area operations manager, her volunteering time is limited, but she believes that supporting the Atlanta Humane Society is a worthwhile cause.

The Atlanta Humane Society is Atlanta's oldest private charity and Deborah Burzotta is proud to be involved as a volunteer. The organization has been helping animals in need for over 140 years. In Atlanta alone, this branch of the Humane Society provides homes and shelters to over 8,000 animals. Unlike many other animal rescue organizations, the Human Society in Atlanta does not euthanize adoptable animals and relies on funding and volunteers to maintain this policy. This is a policy Deborah Burzotta supports.

Volunteers can help the organization in a number of ways. Volunteers like Deborah Burzotta are able to work as greeters, shop assistants, administrative assistants, social media helpers, photographers, and much more. Deborah Burzotta is happy to be part of a large community of volunteers that make the Atlanta Humane Society a strong and beneficial organization in the city.

Asked about the work she engages in with the Atlanta Humane Society, Deborah Burzotta stated, "I've always been a volunteer in the community. Recently I wanted a change and felt like I should do something for a cause I was passionate about. You can do a lot for the humane society in a short amount of time. Helping animals get homes isn't just about saving them, it's also about providing happiness to families throughout Atlanta."

In the past, Deborah Burzotta has volunteered with the North Point Church since its opening, as well as volunteered as a pharmacist with the Good Samaritan Cobb County since 2011. As 2014 moves forward, Deborah Burzotta will continue to volunteer with the above two organizations and also with the Atlanta Humane Society. She has also been active in promoting friends and family to engage in volunteering in the greater Atlanta region. With her commitment to the Atlanta Humane Society, she will have another organization to encourage others to volunteer at.
