Coastal Hideaways is proud to have been in business for nearly two decades. Like any new business, the beginning was a little rough, but spreading word about the quality of the company helped it grow. 17 years later, quality and personal service are still the core principles of Coastal Hideaways’ business operation.

“17 years ago, we wanted to be the company we are today. We wanted to rent out a variety of vacation rentals so guests of all ages, and groups of all sizes, could find a home or accommodations perfect for their needs,” says a Coastal Hideaways representative. “We offer a large selection of properties in our portfolio of vacation rentals. Coastal Hideaways can place vacationers in houses, estates, cottages, villas, or condos. Some locations, like apartments, are perfect for a couple. Other locations, like the villas, can accommodate eight to twelve guests.”

So what helped the company become the success it is today? “The owner of Coastal Hideaways, Melissa M. Pierson, is a fantastic property manager,” says the Coastal Hideaways representative and all property owners that contract with her. What was unexpected to Melissa M. Pierson were all the questions and requests for interior design services from Coastal Hideaways. As any business owner, seeing an area of growth, would do, she added an interior design service to the list of services available through Coastal Hideaways. “Now, Coastal Hideaways can help others get their homes prepared as rentals, or to maximize the value of the home and income as well!”

In the past few years, the Santa Barbara community’s awareness of Coastal Hideaways was increased when The Independent wrote articles about the company. One of the more recent articles about Coastal Hideaways was published in the local Santa Barbara magazine, Montecito Journal. Coastal Hideaways is proud the company has grown in reputation to the point that local magazines articles have been written about their business.

Coastal Hideaways’ 17 years of business have not come without giving back, either. When California was devastated with fire after fire, the company opened their vacation rentals up to fire victims for special rates. “Instead of staying at a shelter, fire victims and their families who lost their homes stayed in our vacation rentals until their homes were rebuilt, or they found a new place to live,” says the representative of Coastal Hideaways.
