Sydney, Australia — Mobilcom won the award in the Small Business Category as results from a survey labeled Mobile Marketing – How It Impacts on Small Business Owners, were returned and collated this week.

The survey was published in the ‘mobileTODAY’ e-Mag here in Sydney. In this instance it targeted small to medium size businesses (1-15 employees) who had been approached about mobile website designs.

This new sub-category was created after data from the survey was collated and “Best Mobile Website Designs – Small Business Category” was born. This was in direct response to the growing demand by readers for more information on the subject. Business owners are now searching for as much information as possible as consumers begin to switch to mobile devices for local search.

In one section of the survey questions were raised relating to how business owners learned of design costs, design elements, where they found examples and how accessible they were. Mobilcom, owned by Dennis O’Brien, emerged as the prime choice among participants.

When it came to nominating which company had provided the best examples, one reader said “With Mobilcom you were able to use your mobile phone to look at the many different mobile website designs. Their portfolio was easy to use and you could browse them easily”.

Participants were also asked which company/website had performed best overall in answering questions raised in the survey. Mobilcom was up there with some of the more well established website designers. The company was praised for the manner in which they approached business owners.
