The mission of Akshaya Trust is to “help the helpless.” The trust was established in 2002 to help the needy in Madurai, India. The organization is committed to caring for the helpless, forsaken, mentally ill, old, sick, roadside destitute living and dying on the streets of Madurai. Adhiraj Chintakrindi and other donors help provide the helpless with food, love, and the opportunity to rehabilitate.

Adhiraj Chintakrindi spoke out about his commitment to the organization, he stated, “I am extremely passionate about giving back. I feel as though I have been blessed with great fortune, and it is my responsibility to help those in need. The Akshaya Trust caught my attention because it helps those who are struggling in India. I am originally from India, so the organization’s mission hit close to home for me. Here in America we are all given a life with ample opportunity; however, it is not like that everywhere else in the world. As we become prosperous, I think it is our duty to share our wealth with those who are struggling.”

Adhiraj Chintakrindi hopes that more people will find a cause that interests them and contribute in whatever way they can. “I hope more people will find a cause they are passionate about and contribute. The smallest amount of money can change the life of another person. I know many people are financially struggling through the bad economy right now, but small sacrifices can make donations possible. If you drink a cup of coffee every morning, simply skip a day and make a five-dollar contribution to a reputable cause. It is that simple,” Adhiraj Chintakrindi stated.
