MRT Coming to Singapore East Coast region

Travelling time is reduced substantially for traveler heading to town. The eastern region line is part of the Thomson East Region Line (TEL) that extends woodland.

Land Transport Authority unveil the Eastern Region MRT Line that extend from Garden by the Bay to Sungei Bedok. This MRT line will run parrallel along East Coast Coastline. The stations include Marine Parade, Marine Terrace, Siglap, Bayshore, Sungei Bedok and Tanjong Rhu which will flow underground beginning from Garden by the Bay.

The Thomson East Coast Line is the sixth MRT line launched by sMRT that aims to connect the northern region and eastern region to the heart of Central Business District.

Bicycle Car Park lots will be establish in several MRT Stations being the first few namely; Bayshore, Marine Parade, Sungei Bedok and Marine Terrace, in line with the culture of East Coast, which is the East Coast Park where residents can go over to the beach for pedaling.

In contrast with the completion in 2024, there is also a "World's First Four in one Bus Depot and Train" emerging which is calculated to have the size of 60 football field. It is anticipated to house a utmost capacity of 220 trains and 550 buses. There will be several floors that manage the buses and trains.
