The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided against holding a re-examination for the class X math paper. Decision taken after examining the answer sheets.

According to reports in the media, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to not hold a re-examination for the Class X mathematics paper. The announcement about the same is yet to be made.

On 30th March, CBSE had announced that it would hold the class XII Economics paper re-examination on 25th April. At the same time, it refrained from announcing a date for the re-test for class X as it was still conducting probes into the matter. The board also said that in case a re-test was ordered it would be only for Delhi-NCR and Haryana, and that it would possibly take place in July. With today's expected announcement, that previous notice may become invalid.

Over 16 lakh students had registered to appear for the Class X exams which started on 5th of March 2018. The results for the same are expected in the month of May, as of now, but may be delayed in case a re-test is announced finally.
