PATNA: A Patna-based company would launch the country's first exclusive Air Ambulance Service from Patna to provide affordable transportation service to the people of the Bihar.

At Patna, it has been going to launch this medical evacuation service may be on Next Year in presence of Chief Minister, Mr. Nitish Kumar, Founder and Managing Director of Patna Air Ambulance said.

He said the company is trying to make Air Ambulance Services in Patna affordable by bringing cutting down of charges.

On the charges factor, a company official said it would be Rs 6 lakhs to Delhi and within the Neighboring region from Rs 3 lakhs onwards.

An aircraft would be stationed in Patna and thus precious time would be saved as the air Ambulance in Patna would not be required to be called from Delhi, the official said, which is why the service is called 'exclusive'.

To operate its services, the company plans to use some of the best US-made Beech craft under its own-schedule operator's permit, The MD said.

“As leaders in trauma care and with the support of the community, the Patna Air Ambulance is always identifying ways to be on the cutting edge of medicine and advances in care delivery,” said MD, “Dr. Kumar's passion for pre-hospital emergency care and his love for Children’s was driving factors in establishing this program. This was Dr. Kumar's idea and I’m proud our team was able to make his vision come to fruition.”

Agencies were able to enroll in training programs which started in the Year 2021. Since then, more over emergency medical services and fire personnel have been trained on treating their injured ones. The Life Flight team is conducting three to five training classes each month and estimates there are approximately more police in the area.
