Talking about the book Ritu says, “I along with my brother-in-law started writing anecdotes about how our life revolves around the household helps, especially the lives of working women.” She further adds that it is strange and amazing to see that how the men are also dragged in these daily issues. Those who are married can relate more, she added giving a playful smile.

Upon asked by a journalist on how and why she decided to write on such an unusual topic, she replied very calmly that it is a routine story of every household. Hence, it is very common and a usual scene that can be observed every morning in almost every house. She says that even in her busy morning schedules she used to steal moments and laugh on how the maid create more issues than helping.

Narrating an instance she said, ‘I have incorporated some personal experience and some that are shared by my extended family and friends. One incident that I can recall now is how one of my maid use to finish some of the ready-to-eat foods without asking. Upon confrontation, she would create a huge mellow drama. I clearly remember that she would threat me of leaving the job and I had to plead and apologise to her. The day she left the job, same had happened.’
