Self-assembling peptides are well-known for their use in the creation of hydrogels and other biomaterials in fields such as tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
Now, one company is claiming to have utilized self-assembling peptides, to develop a peptide-based smartphone battery. At a recent technology conference, the battery was demonstrated to regenerate a smartphone in just 30 seconds.
