Hampi, also known as the Group of Monuments in Hampi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hampi is located in the east-central side of the state of Karnataka in India. It became the center of the Hindu Vijaynagara Empire capital in the 14th century.
Hampi’s ruins spread over 4100 hectares located very close to the modern era city of Hosapete. Hampi has a lot of monuments with a historical significance which makes it a very attractive destination for all the history enthusiasts.
However, students often hesitate to learn about this place as a part of their curriculum because of its historical and cultural richness.
