The parks department, the libraries, and senior centers always seem to take a hit. That's why volunteers are so important to these organizations!" says Keegan Burkhart. Keegan Burkhart understands that volunteers offer organizations the ability to provide the same services people love and want within the operating costs of continually shrinking budgets. "I can't imagine a community where there are no parks. That is so depressing. So, every Saturday I come down here and help out. It's a pretty small sacrifice for a really big return," says Keegan Burkhart.
Keegan Burkhart is confident that everyone can find a way to make an impact in their community. He notes that most volunteer organizations will work around your schedule. He also reminds people that you will receive training so that you can perform your volunteer work with confidence.
