Situated in downtown Wellington, Jam Hair Co was started in 1988 by one of the most skilled hair stylists and colourists in New Zealand Tony Barrett. Tony has a passion for hair, as evidenced by his many accomplishments. He started his career as a specialist hairdresser at other top salons in Wellington. Tony was the most outstanding hairdresser during those early years, which saw him win every award and earn the nickname ""Golden boy"". This was also the time that he realized his desire to establish his own independent salon so he could freely express his unique talent and individuality. After refining his skills, he decided to take the plunge and start up on his own. That’s how Jam Hair Wellington Company came to be.
