[Woodbury, 09/30/2016] - Care Providers of Minnesota is delighted to once again partner with Paul Grizzell, President and Baldrige Coach of Core Values Partners, to present an award workshop — this time for the Silver Award process. (Paul was the facilitator at the very successful Bronze workshop in January 2016.) The workshop will be held on October 6, 2016, at the Holiday Inn Bloomington Airport South in Bloomington, MN.

The full-day Silver Quality Award workshop will help AHCA/NCAL member organizations better understand the Silver Award application criteria, scoring, and strategies for a successful 2017 application submission to the AHCA/NCAL Quality Award program. Workshop registration also includes five follow up virtual events; participants are also eligible for a discounted consulting rate with Paul Grizzell if additional coaching is desired. This workshop is about more than an award; besides gaining a better understanding of what examiners are looking for and how to use the Award criteria as an improvement tool, participants will learn how to use the award process to focus, align, and accelerate their long-term care facility’s performance excellence efforts becoming a high-performing organization.

The workshop is designed for key leaders to better understand how to accelerate their progress from the Bronze level to the Silver level of recognition. Suggested participants are Administrators or Executive Directors and Directors of Nursing or Directors of Home Care, along with other leadership team members including owners. A team approach is the most effective method to develop your application in a manner that makes it your “management document,” and not just an award application.

Paul is a volunteer Gold Award Judge for the AHCA/ NCAL Quality Award program and also trains Silver Award Examiners. He is very committed to advancing performance excellence in mission-driven organizations, including long-term care. He is a Senior Alumni Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige Performance Excellence Program where he has led many Baldrige site visits and trained Baldrige Examiners, New Examiners, and Senior Examiners. Paul is a judge for the Baldrige-based Minnesota, Illinois, and Virginia Performance Excellence Award and is also active with the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), ASQ China and ASQ India, and is the Foreign Evaluation Expert with the China Quality Award. Paul is a senior member of the American Society for Quality and an international speaker as an expert on performance excellence.
