iQor - Allied Interstate Double Down on Illegal Tactics

If Allied Interstate is calling you to pay a debt, don't do it. Fax them a cease and desist and keep a copy. Chances are, they've broken one or more laws that protect consumers.

Allied Interstate, a U.S. collection agency gets numerous FDCPA violation complaints a year. It was so bad at one point that they were sued by the Attorney General. That didn't stop Allied. They just hired another attorney.

You see, the attorney for Allied Interstate, and everyone else for that matter, will contact you from an iQor e-mail address. iQor isn't licensed to collect debts in certain states, but it won't stop them from trying. Allied and iQor frequently call after being faxed a cease and desist. They don't send the required initial letter to collect on the debt.

If Allied Interstate is harassing you, get in line. You're not the only one. Don't let their belligerent attorney scare you. Brendan Lee is about as mentally unstable as they come. Put him on a witness stand and he'll explode for sure.
Mr. Lee advises his client to make horrible business decisions, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to harass victims of Allied's illegal collections practices.

The important thing to remember is that it won't cost you one dollar to sue Allied Interstate Collections. Just make sure you file complaints with the FTC and Attorney General online first. If enough complaints are compiled, the Attorney General will sue for the victims. Also complain with your state's office of financial governance.

As consumers, we cannot allow companies like Allied Interstate, hiding behind the name iQor, to continue their abusive collection practices. Make enough noise and our state's have to step in to defend us. If Allied is contacting you, tell them to stop. Record calls and fax them a cease and desist. Keep a copy of everything. Chances are, they will call again with an auto-dialer, which is also illegal.

If Allied Interstate has harassed you, search for a local consumer advocate attorney. They will take the case and not charge you a dime. They will pay all of the filing fees and simply take their payment from any settlement or judgment. Don't let these people harass you. It costs you nothing to get justice.
