This press release about the Children's Media program focuses on explaining to readers the type of approach this offering takes to ensuring that students are prepared for the field in three semesters.

Children's entertainment is a yearly multi-billion dollar industry that includes movies, TV shows, books music, merchandise and much more. Centennial College offers a one-of-a-kind post-graduate program that will prepare you for a career as a children's content producer.

The Children's Media offering is the only of its kind production and writing program Toronto offers. It requires applicants to have completed a college diploma or university degree program in any discipline or partial post-secondary education (minimum two years) and relevant work experience.

Students spend three semesters refining their creative storytelling abilities, business skills and production management practices for the development of distinctive and original children's media content for education or entertainment genres. This is done by way of practical learning that includes activities such as projects, presentations, case studies, the use of software, pitching story ideas, writing for children's media, team building for creative production, personal branding and career planning as well as navigating the domestic and international marketplace.

Students experience the children's writing Toronto market prior to graduation through a field placement during which they take direction from an employer and build their portfolios.
