Situated in Singapore, the Asian American Medical Group or AAMG was set up sometime in 1994 with the aim of becoming a pioneering liver transplant and bone marrow transplant hospital in the Asia-Pacific region.

They are now one of Singapore’s finest medical centres through the Comprehensive Transplant Centre or CTC which has pioneered organ transplantation, especially liver transplants in association with the University of Pittsburgh. Over the years, the Asian American Medical Group has done a lot for patients by helping them get through with liver failure treatment with the help of some of the best liver and transplant specialists in the world. The former Asian Centre for Liver Diseases and Transplantation which is now known as the Asian American Liver Centre now treats patients with hepatic problems which cover gastrointestinal problems and hepatitis A, B, and C.

One of the major medical problems in this part of the world is Hepatitis A; this disease infects about 1.5 million people all over the world, and is classified as a very dangerous disease. One of the best methods to treat this as well as prevent this disease is to ensure the community takes the hepatitis A vaccine which is produced at the Asian American Liver Centre. Another feather in the cap of the AAMG is the establishment of the Asian American Blood and Marrow Transplant Centre or AABMTC in 2013 for patients suffering with leukaemia symptoms, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood cancers and disorders. The course of treatment provided includes chemotherapy sessions as well as bone marrow transplantation to the finest post-transplant care.

The Asian American Blood and Marrow Transplant Centre have expanded their treatment procedures to include treatment of autoimmune diseases and other diseases like multiple myeloma, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and other disorders. Beginning with bone marrow transplantation program they have now started to treat and strengthen the immune system if patients who have undergone rigorous cancer treatments to get rid of any remnant and hidden cancerous cells. They have now branched into therapy for patients suffering from aplastic anaemia, bone marrow failure as well as myelodysplastic syndrome treatment.

About the Asian American Medical Group: Located at 6A Napier Road, Gleneagles Hospital Annexe, Block 02-37 in Singapore, the AAMG has been helping critical patients with liver problems through lifesaving transplants. They have now branched into treatment of autoimmune diseases through bone marrow transplantation using the latest available technology.
