Counter flow asphalt drum mix plant is a continuous asphalt mixing plant but with a slight change in the process. Dust is sucked at the entry point of the aggregates into the drying drum allowing dust free aggregates to enter the mixing drum. Like standard asphalt plants, the cold feed bins are with variable speed drive to regulate the aggregate flow individually as per requirement. On the charging conveyor the weight received is synchronized with the flow if bitumen and minerals. Dry and wet dust collector pollution control devices remove dust efficiently. Bag house filter works efficiently with the drum mix plant. An optional hot mix storage silo option is also available with the plant. Control panel is PLC type with option to store recipes and the plant is capable to run on auto and manual modes.

Advantages:
Since the suction of dust is at the very entry point in the drum, dust free aggregates move forward for heating and mixing this reduces the fuel consumption of the dryer burner.
As the aggregates are moving towards the burner, heating process is more effective compared to continuous asphalt plant.
Only the required amount of bitumen and mineral is added to the mix eliminating wastage compared to the single drum hot mix plant.
Temperature of the aggregates can be controlled and there is no chance that valuable liquids will be exposed to extreme temperatures.
