Founded by Lee Baumgarten in 1952 and now operated by his sons and grandson, our family’s bonds with our customers have never changed. • At our building centers, we have a lot more than lumber. We are a leading dealer nationally for Wood-Mode/Brookhaven custom cabinets and Marvin Windows and Doors. We carry hundreds of other brands and products. We have become famous for providing millwork, even very custom millwork. Our breadth of inventory will take your breath away. Rest assured that contractors who bundle their purchases -- combining windows, doors, Kitchen Cabinets, millwork, etc. so that we can afford to give you an even lower price -- will never sacrifice quality, service, delivery, time, or relationships at Lee Lumber.

• We have our own, in-house facilities for millwork – moldings in any specie, run to any pattern. We carry doors, smart room products Chicago from many manufacturers. We have treated lumber for decks and porches, fire-treated lumber, metal studs, hollow metal doors, fire-rated doors, and our own welding shop, as well as our own boom truck.

• We train, train, and re-train not just our staff, but our customers through our Lee Lumber, Certified Installer program and our many seminars and teaching events. When a consumer purchases doors or windows through Lee Lumber, we are always happy and confident to give the project to one of our many Certified Installers. We help build our customers’ business, rather than compete with them.

• We are Spaces & Views in Highland Park, on the North Shore, serving Wilmette, Kenilworth, Cambria, Glencoe, and Lake Forest; Smart Rooms, at Luxe Homes in the Merchandise Mart, Lee Lumber’s Design Showplace on North Elston Avenue, and , of course, Lee Lumber at 633 West Pershing Road, our original and headquarters location.
