If someone is taking care of the machinery, it is good for business. If you are the type of person who is good with machinery and technology, and you like to fix things, working as an I & E Technician or an Electro-mechanical Technician could be a good option for you. However, to get a career in this field, you will probably want to attend an I & E Technician School.

In this position, you will be expected to test, maintain, and operate electromechanical equipment and automated systems. Some of your specific duties in this position will include reading blueprints to determine the assembly of different equipment and machines, testing robotic equipment, and analyzing test results. You will also be expected to repair and calibrate different hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies. As an Electro-mechanical Technician, you will also have to install and test electronic parts for machines. Your day-to-day duties testing and maintaining equipment will help industrial processes operate more smoothly.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for Electro-mechanical Technicians is expected to increase four percent from 2016 to 2026. Also, the Bureau of Labor Statistics tells us that the median annual income for an Electro-mechanical Technician was $56,740 as of May 2017.
