Hospitalized Man Proved California Governor Wrong, Proffered Solution to Lawn Upkeep in Drought

As shortages of water continue to ravage the West Coast, a hospitalized man discredits the idea of California governor, and proffers the solution to lawn upkeep in this drought.

For Immediate Release; West Hollywood, Calif. - - - Recently, California Governor, Jerry Brown, directed the State Water Resources Control Board to cut statewide water supply by 25%, and he stated categorically that the idea of watering lawn every day with lots of water would be a thing of the past. While listening to the news that aired the claim of Governor Brown, Jonathan Sidy, while on a Cedar Sinai hospital bed and recovering from his heart surgery, lamented that the number one man in the state was grossly misinformed about the whole concept of gardening.

According to him, California is generally known for its aesthetic landscape as most homes and public buildings have beautiful lawns. In his remarks, Sidy affirms that Governor Brown's statement suggests that daily lawn watering is one way by which residents use up a large amount of water. In a bid to prove that lawns don't need lots of water in their design, installation and maintenance, even as claimed by Brown, Jonathan Sidy has released a new book he titled, The California Lawn Diet: Why Should Cows be the Only Happy Californian's?

With a view to providing professional assistance to homeowners who are already fed up with the upkeep of their lawn because of the shortage of water supply, the author of the new book has stated that keeping a garden fresh and healthy is not a function of the amount of water that is available to wet the plants or grass. "But rather," he discloses, "people should begin to look into another workable concept that revolves round creating a healthy, water-saving environment for the lawn at the onset, or during its renovation."

Speaking further on the book's content, he reveals that the only answer to droughts is diet - a concept that takes soil type, climate zones, choice of plants, and design into consideration as the success factors in gardening. Addressing the case of people that don't know what to do with their dying lawn, he opines that replacement of their lawn with rocks or gravels is not necessarily a way out of problem. "As for me, I can save up to 25% in most kinds of yards without removing all of the lawn. I can also install and maintain lawn in new places without spending fortunes, and all the while using a minimal amount of water. That's what this book teaches," Jonathan Sidy concludes.
