08th Sep 2021 - Françoise Girard is leader of the International Women’s Health Coalition and an activist for women’s rights and sexual and reproductive health as well as rights. She is a lawyer by training.

She was administrator of the Open Society Foundations Public Health Program from the year 2006 to 2011. Girard is frequently consulted by UN and intergovernmental agencies and has played a key encouragement role at UN conferences on population and expansion, women’s rights, and HIV/AIDS. She has printed for journals encompassing the Journal of Adolescent Health and Reproductive Health Matters. Authored Global Implications of U.S. Domestic along with International Policies on Sexuality; and donated chapters to SexPolitics and Reproductive Health along with Human Rights: The Way Forward.
